When was the last time an NFL regular season game (not the Superbowl or pre-season) was played on a neutral site? Where was it, who played, line, who won? Interested to know.

I know this probably isn't what your looking for, but Chicago played all their home games at a neutral site all last season. U of Illinois.

"The NFL moved a game between the Patriots and 49ers from Candlestick Park in San Francisco to Stanford Stadium on Oct. 22, 1989, after the Bay Area earthquake damaged Candlestick.

In 1992, the league rescheduled the season opener between New England and Miami from Sept. 6 to Oct. 18 because of damage from Hurricane Andrew."

Thanks OccamsRazor. Although that was about the year I began playing, I do not remember the game being moved. I appreciate the info.

Hog, you were right, that was not what I was looking for but I appreciate it anyway. I thought about that after my post. Although they did play at U of I they still had a strong hometown fan base. Not as much as at Soldier Field though. The Seahawks also played at the University of Washington a few years back but also had hometown support.

Tonight, from what I have heard, there will be very few real "Charger fans" at the game. It looks like it will be mostly people from a college like town with free tickets. Interesting situation.
